Well im pretty high from the fumes of silicone but ill live I think, its a 10 gallon glass tank and I ordered a 600 GPH overflow and just bought a 500 GPH return pump from my LFS, I have a question though, can I put my heater, UV sterilizer and Prizm skimmer in my sump, they will all fit, also besides LR rubble what kind of sand should I use for the base, thanks for readin, here is a pic of the sump:

Nice job! put all that stuff in there that's what their for. Now none of it will take away from your display. I think you should use the same kind of substrate in your sump that is in the main display. Not 100% sure though.

It really depends on what your trying to do.....if your thinking DSB fuge, then you want a fine substrate. This would allow for worms and such to do thier jobs. Usually people try to stray from coarser substrates because it traps lots of stuff in it that needs to be siphoned out from time to time.

Nice job on the sump btw!!

thanks guys, it was fun building, im really happy I did it instead of buying one, it helps to learn more on the hobby too, is it tricky to tune the tubes so I get the same amount of flow from incoming and outgoing water?
