Can ozone smell like something is burning--almost electrical burning smell?? Please reply if you can--I've checked everything electrical--just hooked-up the O3 2 days ago.
Thanks, Rod

Don't know that ozone smells like melting wires; If I were you I'd unplug the unit and see if the smell goes away. Did you notice the smell when you hooked it up a few days ago?

Ozone should smell like the air after a thunderstorm; clean, and a hint of 'spiciness' to it. If you truly smell something like wires burning, then your ozonizer is malfunctioning. I have a large ozonizer, and it doesn't smell like burning at all......

Depending on the type of ozonizers, you may get alittle burning smell if it's been off for a while as it burns off any dust that settled on either the bulb/contactors (depending on type).

Thanks, what do you all think about possibly non-ozone safe plastic (through venturi) creating this smell?

non-ozone plastic does not make a burning smelll .... running 5 ozonizers, 3 brands... have non-ozone safe plastics in some of these set-ups.... no such smell.
