Could b-ionic and the chromoplex I add for my scallopbe adding to my cyano problem?

B-Ionic says to add once a day... the LFS said three times a week...

Had it two weeks and have only added it twice...

Hmm.. If you don't have corals nor clams, I doubt your calcium intake will be that much to warrant the need for B-Ionic. Have you tested for Calcium and Alkilinity?

Cyano feeds off phosphate. Have you tested your water for this? Are you using RO/DI water?

:lol2: on the LFS... yes, I know... that guy's a con artist!!!

ummm... no on the RO/DI... using distilled... phosphates only trace, according to "more reputible" LFS... I can't test for them yet. Getting a better test kit...

A quick caution and a good rule:

Do not dose what you do not test for..

Test your calcium and Alk levels before you drop a penny on supplements. Some additives can become toxic (eg iodine) at very low levels.
