Hay guys and gals!!! I finally got some water and rock in my 58 gal. tank. So far i have a 3" sand base (South Down) and about 40 lbs. of base rock. I currently have 32 gal. of water and i am going to add 40lbs. of live rock and 5 lbs. of live sand tomarrow.A couple questions. Where should my final s.g. be and when i add the live rock tomarrow do i want to start cycling the lights on. I am running 220w of 50/50 10,000k and ectinic. Oh and the Aqua-clear power heads i have running can be set to inject a bunch of micro bubbles into the water...should i do that right now??...Thanks...Licreek

i would turn the lights on and no bubble when they pop you will have salt everywhere after the water evaporates.

i would turn the pumps on and let them run.

Are you from Jersey?(Hay, tomarrow and ectinic). Not trying to be a smart ***, just wondering if the accent was springing out. If you have no livestock I see no need to run the lights. JMHO

just keep asking question and give us a pic when you have time and are ready to give one.

I went about 6 months without a pic of my tank and them went another 6 months

turn the pump on so the water can circulate and why not turn on the lights and see if you notice anything from the new rock in the next days. sometimes you get something that you never have seen before.
