I got tired of having heat issuses and not enough lights in my Via Aqua hood. I decided to Get some T5 lights and make a hood to match the stand. So I ordered retro kit with four 24"T5 lights from Reef Geek. After a few days in the shop this is what I ended up with.
This is the original hood

I also added two fan for heat control and they seem to be working really well. I am running the for a half hour every hour and the are keeping the temp around 80 deg. when I ran them all of the time the temp went to 76 deg.
