Hey everyone!

Reading on the net about hydrogen peroxide. Some people say its the same as ozone and will kill everything if overdosed. Just wondering if anyone is using it?

Some benefits of peroxide are:

-kills bacteria that cause ich
-kills nuissance algae and spores
-can oxidize organics
-possibly be used as an oxygen boost durring a power outage

Although the stuff is almost corrosive it can be used in very small amounts.(Somthing like 1-5cc for aquariums)

Anyone using this out there?

Like what Randy said though, what are you trying to accomplish by adding Peroxide?

Are you looking for the effects of ozone?

Yea the effects of ozone would be nice, but its to risky unless you got a way so its not entering the tank.

And those feather dusters did not react very nicly when it passed by them. But they seem ok for now.:)

I messed with using it to raise my redox when I was into redox.

The funny thing was my redox meter went wacko for a day after dosing it, and I was only dosing a small amount (it is 3% only to start with)

My overall take on H2O2 is screw it and just make sure your skimmer works well.
