Hi all, sorry for posting so much, but the search feature is disabled a lot when I try to search.

How many options do I have for a HOB refuge? I have a 65g tall tank, and I can't afford to build a sump right now, so I thought a HOB fuge might be worth trying. I know some people use the Aquaclear 500, but that's a little small for a 65, I would think. I know someone posted some HOB fuges from ebay, but none looked to hold more than about 1-2 gallons. Would that be enough? What are my options?

Thanks,
Zack

You could make your own. You just need some acrylic, Weld-on, and a pump.

Other than modding an AquaClear and the premade ones, there isn't much you can do.

Sweeeeeet. Would 6.5 gallons worth of fuge be enough to help my 65g tank?

Try a clear rubbermade tote. $12 and pump, siphon over flow. Less than $100 for a 20 gallon sump/fuge

100 isn't bad at all. When you say siphon, do you mean like the clear weir thing, or do you mean an actual tube that just hangs over the side and gets a siphon going...?

Go with the medium

Do you guys think a hob fuge is good enough? What size would you recommend foe a 30 cube?
Thanks.

[welcome]

Again, the medium one would be my choice.

The 24" one is too big (it bows) and the smallest is too small
