I've had a tank a couple of monthes now and everything has been going well but a couple of days ago i noticed some carpet algae growing. I've seen it work and know if its not taken care of it can take over your tank.

Whats a safe way to get rid of it without hurting anything else in my tank. I have some fish, a lettuce nudibranch, feather dusters, and a few mushrooms. Its about thirty gallons with a penguin 330 filter. Would putting on a second filter or a powerhead help

Hi Licausi
[welcome]

The Thread (http://archive.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=660059) posted right below yours talks about algae control. Also we have Why Me? (http://www.reefcentral.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=6) on green hair algae control.
