MH Lighting

I have my MH lighting hanging 14 inches above my 26 Gallon tank because the water was getting to hot.Is this OK or do I need to move it down?If so to what inch level?Thanks

How many watts? 14 should be fine with that small of a tank. What are you keeping?

It is 150w 20k bulb.Quite a few corals.Bubble,Hammer,Trach,Frogspawn,Plate and some Star Polyps.

blow a fan across the top.

Walmart has directional type fans that you can mount on the wall to blow across the top of the tank.

Makes a HUGE difference in temp.

I have a 250 watt HQI about 12 inches above my 29 gallon cube and the temp is stable.
