for some reason i noticed that at the last few swaps frogspawn, torches, and hammers have gone really quickly. so if you plan to pick one of them up id suggest getting there as early as possible. theres always an awesome selection of zoos and rics.

What are you charging for the cap and how large is it?

I'll have about a dozen frogspawn and about six hammers, all 1 - 3 heads each and attached to small rocks.

I may also have some of these mushrooms if I get around to getting them off the big rocks. They get about 4-5 inches across and a little more green towards the center than the pic shows.

I think the original coral came from Henry Martinez, but I got a frag from Zack Johnson about 2 1/2 years ago. It is a stag that has bright green polyps and grows extremely fast. Geo named it the "Big Johnson" because it grows very large. I put five or six 2" to 3" frags in my frag tank about a year ago and now I have a 24"X24" area that's completely consumed by it.

some bring frags in bags or tupperware for the day.
some bring small tanks w/ lights, heater and powerhead

some bring halides (overkill IMO for a swap)

I'm a fan of taking pictures of the frags in the tank (colonies) and displaying those for folks to see coloration etc.

We will have tables for swappers to set their stuff down. And space should not be an issue.

you'll probably want some sort of cooler or styro as well to hold the corals.

I have pocillopora available (pic of mother colony on fragswapper) and an unusual light lavender/pink kenya tree coral. It does not drop branches like regular brown kenya tree coral and is dense and bushy (I had to move the coral to get a good pic, so it is closed up a little from the movement). I will only frag this if there is interest, so PM or e-mail me. $10 for unmounted 2-3" frag.

from what ive seen the pickings are slim when it comes to whole corals, colonys, or fish. for the most part its just frags. itd be nice to see some colonys and big corals start showing up though

for some of those who have never been to a frag swap (like myself) what are some prices on stuff (LPS frags) or what you can generaly count on price wise. I am just wondering so I know how much money to bring, if not I will bring alot and blow it all, lol. Any help would be great.

Most frags are in the 10 to 20 dollar range, more common corals at 5 to 10 while the rare ones are 20 to around 50 and up. A lot are one or two polyps, while others are much larger. Mounted corals go for more than unmounted. It is a good time none the less and a good place to learn. Also you will meet a lot of real nice folks and be able to put a face to a nickname or handle.
Bring lots of money! Bring a cooler to transport you buys home, or a styrofoam box.
Buy raffle tickets, as there is always some really nice goodies raffled off.

No, but I have seen ZERO in my tank since the ice storm, used to see 'em everytime I fed the tank...even when I search the tank at night I see none. Plus I just got a six-line so I figure many I may get will end up as food till the get established.
