Hi, I just recently purchased a Coralife clip on 150W MH 20,000k fixture and because my 28gal bow has a support bar in the center i can't clamp right to the back of the tank and the bar of the tank is blocking some light. I'm not sure whether to return this fixture. I would like to upgrade tanks but right now that's not feasible. I can fabricate something in the back of my tank so that my light is fixed to the center. But then the center brace is still in the way. Would this be of concern. Most of the tank sees light but there's still a slight shadow in the center. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's the link to my light fixture.

Keep the light and ditch the center brace. I repaced mine with acrylic and use a single 250W MH bulb. Seems like you would be able to get something to work without having to send the fixture back. Here is my tank before it was filled up.

center brace is, unfortunatly, one of those necessary evils that many hobbyists fail to realize when they buy a MH. as most of your bowfronts and larger tanks have some sort of centerbrace

you can cut it like mentioned, but make sure you know what your doing and never fill it with water w/o some kinda brace.
