LR from LFS q

If I want to add LR to my 5g do I need to go through the curing process myself? What is the best way to get LR from the LFS and transfer it?

For such a small tank I will suggest buy it already cured from your LFS. Pked wet in newspaper iside a plastic bag will do well, just do not do errands and go directly home and put it in the tank.
