My dad wants to buy me a new laptop (woohooo!!:D ), but the thing is that I don't know which one should I buy. I only use computers to check forums, listen music and write essays for school, so I don't need any fancy. Any recommendations?

check out www.overstock.com and see what they have for what you are looking for. They have some pretty nice ones out there for even under $800 and you can spend the rest of your money on accessories!
