Just heard through a friend that the new petsmart opening at polaris will have a saltwater section.. anyone heard any details on how expansive the selection will be?
Do any of the other petsmarts around town have SW ?

No other pet smart carries salt water. Pet Smart told me they do not carry aggresive animals such as piranhas and stuff like that because they are a family oriented pet store? Anyways it would be the first Pet Smart with saltwater. Pet Smart is a very clean store at least the one I visit (Brice Rd. Location) and there prices are ok, they are between the prices of a Pet Co or Pet Supplies Plus (cheapest) and Jacks (mid Range). I wish Pet Supplies Plus down here carried Salt Water. Pet Supplies Plus has killer prices on live goods.

Think that one is just a rumor. they were against reefkeeping last I heard. They actually had it at one point and pulled it due to the owners beliefs.
I'd be real suprised if they will carry it. Maybe he meant a saltwater dry goods section. Which I don't understansd if they are against it why they carry salt and other drygoods for it.

I am like 5 minutes from there. And I think it opened the 20th or 22nd.

So I have to go to check it out.

Let us know if they carry saltwater, I might try to call them and head up that way if they do to see if they have anything good.

I've never seen a Petsmart that had saltwater fish or corals. However, I do know the Petsmart on Hilliard-Rome Rd has some saltwater drygoods (mostly just salt and some additives) but the prices aren't that great.

More than a year ago the Petsmart on Brice road tried saltwater fish.
Everytime I checked them out (go there fo the dog wash) the fish were either starving to death or diseased. Lots of yellow tangs that were skin and bones. If they were not starving to death they were covered with Ich. They stopped carrying saltwater fish several months ago and I couldn't have been happier.
Hard to imagine this store will be any different

LOL I am here for work and to visit relatives. I used to live here. I can't believe how much polaris has grown! It used to be just the ampitheater and the wendys on the other side of 71 :)

Lol. Ok I was just wondering.

I am sure Cali has better LFS's then the ones here.
