House of Tropical fish Tanks etc FS

This store owner on 14 th st just south of cortez intersection
sold his property ..I stopped in for the first time today
He has some 180 gal and one 400 gal plywood tanks left with a glass window...MH lights 10000 k pendants 150 each..WD filters.

I think the 180 tanks he wanted 200 He has some rock left
FW fish left...

Tanks are well made if not pretty..other stuff.... his name is Bob

You will probably notice his tanks are not gel coated! He found out about gel coat after he built them. If they are not gelcoated they will leach polyesters into the water(not good) . You can tell if they are not gelcoated if you can see the fiberglass/wood etc. Not too good for fish. We built tanks with plywood and polyester resin and gel coat probably 30-40 years ago. I dont know how anyone would not know about it. If you bought them, I would dry them out, sand them and gel coat the interior, and let it sit, then wash with detergent and rinse well. Then they would be safe. Plus you can get gelcoat in any color or custom color your own. We used tourquize because in the 60s it was a popular gel coat color, now white and buff and yellows are popular. Most blues are dark these days. I am sure you could get a blue and mix with white to make a background. Steve.
