Need Local Help!

I have been waiting 6 months for my new show tank and it is finally finished. If anyone can help me this Sunday night the 21st at around 7 pm I would really appreciate it. It is a glass 450 gallon tank and I will need 10 strong people. It will not be that bad to do it since it is going in my basement and there are no steps or major obstacles to deal with. The hardest part will be to get if off the trailer but with 10 people that will not be too bad. I will be using Brad’s tank dolly and plywood sheets to wheel the tank over the grass. Once we get it in the basement all we need to do is set it on a 2 foot high temporary stand.

I wish I could help Serdar, but I'll be out of town visiting my parents this weekend. Like cfishrun said, my 140 lbs of pure bones and ligaments doesn't count for much anyways. Excited to hear your setting up a show tank though. I'm sure it will be amazing. What are the dimensions on it? Again, sorry I can't help, maybe I can send my girlfriend :p

I am picking up the tank from Cleveland at 4 pm Sunday and then it will take 2.5 hours to get back. So, 7:00 PM is the best I can do.

Tonights help is canceled.....The tank will not be here until after 10 PM. I am very sorry about this but Will at aquariumobsessed.com is having troubles at the border. Once again I DO NOT NEED HELP TONIGHT.....Please pass the word around....If you know someone that was going to help tonight please give them a call and let them know. I do not have anyones phone number or I would make the call myself.

I think I can still make it. I'm not too surprised he's having trouble. Whenever you bring anything in over $400, they're probably going to try to make you pay customs import fees on it even though it should be covered by NAFTA. To get things covered by NAFTA, there are certain forms you have to fill out that state what the goods are and certify that they were made in Canada. Something as big as a 450 gallon tank is not going to go across the border unnoticed in all likelyhood. Even though it's technically Canadian made, they're going to try to get money out of it if they can.

Wish I would have seen the cancellation of Monday. I didn't find out about it until I was sitting in front of Phishy's. I will do my best to be there by 7:00 but I may not be able to be there until about 7:20-7:30. Would that be to late, do you think you would be done by then?

Yes, it was pack much better then that. I took it all out for the picture. Nothing like hauling 900 pounds of glass behind you on I71! Great for the BLOOD PRESSURE........:mad2:

900lbs ................... I hate how much glass weights... But I like it over Acrylic... My 500gal tank will only weight more :( It will prob not be before middle of Oct or even Nov before mine is complete... I hope I can get the clubs help in my move :)

Just call Phishy. There's this unwritten/possibly written rule that you have to get directions and address from him since it's his house. This might be different since it's to move a tank, and not to buy stuff, but I'm not sure.
