Went to Super-K last night (the huge K-Mart) around 1:30 am. Was browsing through the hardware section and found a paint scraper made by American Line (American Safety Razor Company). On the package it's called WIDE BLADE SCRAPER and has a 4" razor blade connected to a gray plastic handle that is easily removed by the press of a button. Works awesome on scraping the algae off the glass of my reef tank. Only cost me $4.

I'm sure it works great but a little dangerous for me. What if it slips out of your wet hands. I have the kent scrapper, it works great and has a blunt edge, almost child proof.

Yeah..the problem I see with it is that if it does get in the wrong hands, it can be dangerous. Also, I use it very very carefully around the silicone sealing on the corners just in case.

Blades and me don't mix. It's why I use an electric razor! :D Seriously though, I get enough cuts and scratches from accidentally brushing up aginst my live rock, I don't need an actual blade slicing my hand open. I'm really that clutsy! :)

But I love my Kent scrapper. It does just as good a job as a razor blade and I can't cut myself on it!

I bet it will rust too soon.

I see most of you aren't willing to bleed for your reef.

I've use this scrapper and had a problem with scratching my glass. Specially after it is used for a while and gets a little rusty. Please be careful.
