hello there.
i recently set up a lifereef Ca reactor, a week ago today, and i cannot get my levels set or steady/consistant.
I have a drip of CO2 thats almost continuous, 12 drops every 5 secs or doing the math about 2.4 drops per second. The effluent has a pH of 6.4 and drips faster than a drip, it's a steady fine stream.
water params:
Ca* 330 ppm
dKH 10.5
SG 1.023
temp ~80 and i run a chiller. Damm HQI's put a ton of heat into the ststem
pH 8.2
Mg 1080

I've been dosing with Turbo Ca and that seems to raise Ca but not ALK, but hours later the Ca is back down around 330 or so.
Any suggestions on how to raise my Ca and substain those levels? It seems like I'm putting in a ton of CO2 and effluentinto the system.
oh yhea, my bio load consists of ~14 sps frags, 4 lps, a few soft corals that are on the other side of the tank well seperated from the sps, a few zoas, two maxima clams, two yellow tangs, two false percs, two chromis and a six lined wrasse.
once again thanks for your help and suggestions.
