I am attempting to automate my system a bit more and need to find some nice large size water storage containers.

Do they have to be food grade?

Where can I get them?

Thanks
Chris

You can check out Aquatic Eco Systems. Their shipping might be a little high, but they have a huge selection.

What size/shape are you looking for? I ask because Rubbermaid Brute trash cans are GREAT for water storage and fairly cheap. They may not work for every person though, depending on your needs and storage location.

Rural King is a nice place to look or Tractor supply. They usually have the plastic 55 gallon barrels.

found my 55 gallon food grade plastic containers at a local bottler of sauces. 6 dollars each and just had to wash them out as they were used for vinegar. any local bottlers that might use those?

I forgot that you can also go to ebay, and type in "fresh water tanks" It will bring up RV water storage tanks (polyetheleen). I have a 30 gallon that I use to transport sea water home from LFS store. Works great and Cheap!

Thanks!

I've been looking for a good tank for my Auto-topoff system. Finally found the size I was looking for there!

Look at the used equipment forum and search for 55 gallon containers. The guy is selling them for $25 a piece. They are great, I bought one. Ask him if he will ship.
