MH Actinic supp

If I buy two 150w 10000K MH bulbs for my 55g do I still need actinic tubes

If you have the space, add 2-VHO blue. VHO is the best for color better than PC or T5 IMO. If you cannot add VHO, buy 14K or 20K MH.

It depends on how blue of a look you like.

So you saying that its not nescessary, because my LFS has been telling me that I will need actinic supplementation for corals

adding the supplemental actinic bulbs are just to get the "look" you want . like pioneer stated,how blue do you want the tank to look. your corals don't need it, they'll get the light they need from your mh
