View Full Version : Eductor Question

I tried putting a 3/4" penductor but ran into a problem. My return comes over the edge of the tank, so I needed to drill a small hole to prevent the return from backsiphoning in the case of a power outage. Unfortunately, with the penductor on, the water sprays out of this tiny hole with incredible velocity and splashes all over everything. Is there a good solution that anyone has found for this? I was thinking I may need to sharply angle the hole to keep the flow pointing down into the tank instead of straight back into the back of the glass.

Thanks,

Bob

I was wondering the same thing if I was to put a eductor on my return. The angled hole is probablty the best bet, since the eductor/penductor has to be soo deep to keep from sucking water.

I am thinking this will be my best option, at least I can use a smaller hole since the pressure will certainly keep it open and free of debris.
