I am in the process of setting up a fuge/sump for my 20gallon tall tank. I am using another 20tall as the fuge. I have it sectioned off where half of it is for liverock/sand/etc. The other half is for the entrance and return.
My question is, should I stuff it full of ugly macro algae? I would like to do a little mantis tank. I have heard xenia is a great source of filtration. So is it OK if I just do live sand with live rock and xenia in the other half to make it more presentable?
