Im trying to decide which size tank to get, i currently have a 75 gallon reef tank that i would like to transfer into a bigger tank so i could get some more things that i like, any suggestions on which size would be better?

I say 240... my motto is "go big, or go home" if you've got the 240 in mind, go for the 240, don't ever cut yourself short... and it's always good to have too much than not enough... 240 man...

Yes I agree, if you are even considering a 240g then go for it. Always go the biggest you are able to afford/consider...

Otherwise you will always wonder why you didn't...

What are the dimensions of each of the tanks you are considering? If the 240 only adds depth, you may not appreciate the extra reach to get to the bottom, scrape glass, etc.

the 240 was an all glass aquarium, i believe it was 8 feet long, 24 inches high and 24" wide

That's not very tall. Will work great with some nice lights. Go for it.

i was also looking at making a very nice system for it with a 75 eco and some pipes delivering water here and there etc etc but i would have to donate a whole room for that wouldnt i? I live in a 2 bedroom apartment so i can not do anything permanent. Any ideas. Ive decided ill probably go with the 240 wide.

any takers on that question? I dont think i could run all the pvc piping to tubs etc under the tank because i wanted to put my 75 eco down there

240g tank in a 2BR apartment? I say save your money and buy a house.
No wait, thats stupid. Whats the point of having a house if theres no fish tank in it?

240 is the way, I would have gone 240 if one was available when I bought my tank. 1 foot is not a major deal but bigger is better.
