Bag cleaning tip

I have switched location for cleaning my filter bags ....

The bath tub... I still use a small 2 gal pail but I get higher water flow
and I found it easier to neal near the tub than bend over at the laundry sink.

do you just rinse and squeez or do you use bleach?

Pull them out and put outside when you get six used through into
washing machine. Use full load half cup bleach an second rinse.
Have not had a problem with left over bleach in bag. They come out looking new.

I use bleach also but hand wash

turn inside out and flush in a small pail using a twisting
squeezing motion with a hand repeat a few times
changing the water all the time

Turn back the right way then push the rim of the bag down into the
pail forming an air and water pocket..the push down and flush air and water
through the bag repeat a few times changing the water as you go

then I soak in a small pail two at a time bleach and water solution for 12 plus hours....not to much

then flush and rinse again after soaking using same methods as when dirty

then air dry

just my method

Yes gobyone they look new ..I thik if you don't let them dry you could have bleach residue

I just started the Ichthy method which is every day...before that I was every two days

I know it sounds silly but I don't want to risk washing them in any detergent residue

do you guyz use the filter socks with the hard plastic ring on the top...do you wash them the same way?..is it safe to put those in the washer machine?... sorry, but I'm kinda new to using filter socks.:)

I use the machine with half cup bleach,full load and second rinse
