I recently purchased a yellow leather and I noticed that it began developing brown patches. I have it under PCs and I checked the parameters which were fine. Is this common or should I be concerned?
I guess you don't have the ability to post a pic or you would have done so....huh.
Is it the actual flesh that is getting brown or is there something brown growing on the flesh?

It's the actual flesh that is getting brown. It's around the edges and it falls apart when I touch it.
Is the flesh falling apart or the brown stuff?
Leathers, when stressed due to moving, change in lighting, severe temp changes, bad water params, etc, etc, will kinda shrivel up a bit. Then the next day or 2 they expand and will "shed" this brown layer. If it's just a thin brown film, then blow it off gently with a turkey baster. They also do this when growing rapidly.
I hope thats what yours is doing! :(

It's actually part of the flesh. So far it's only 3-4 tiny spots. I wish I had picks. The leather is open but the polyps are not yet out.
