New Skimmer suggestions, pls

I have a 55gl tank with a 20 gal fuge and I need a skimmer. My major concern is that my in-sump space for a skimmer is 12"L x 5"W x 21"H. I could probably go alittle higher up to 24" if really needed. If this isn't possible a good hang-on sump skimmer might do the trick too. Any suggestions? Please include dimensions or a link to them if possible for better planning. Thanks :)

A recirc skimmer would be nice on there.

with the size constraints and tank size, you may want to look at the aquaC remora line. Seems like a lot of people use them on here and you would be able to hang it on the sump.

Also look at the Coralife Super Skimmer. It is a better skimmer than a Remora and can also hang on the outside of a sump. I think it may need more room (height)? though.

I am currently in the process of setting up the same config (55g w/ 20g sump/fuge). I am using the Aqua C Remora and it will be a tight fit with 24" height as the skimmer cup has to lift up several inches to be cleaned out. If you are interested in using the Aqua C let me know and I will get you exact measurements.
