I bought a diamond router bit, haven't had a chance to try it yet though. A guy at a local glass shop suggested it. I intend to try it with my Roto-Zip.

I have used diamond or tile cutting bits with my dremel with fantastic success, you may want to invest in that over a drill but simply because of cost.

Hey Mike,
Will a tile bit work for glass? I haven't had time to try the bit I bought yet, too much other stuff going on. I wish I knew whether or not my Oceanic 30 had a tempered bottom or not .

I bought a set of 20 diamond rotary tool bits (not Dremel brand) today at Menards for the for the outrageous price of $5.98 there is an assortment in the box and 5/16" glass is probably the depth of cut limit with the deepest bit. Hey I did say 6 bucks remember!?!?
I cut 2 holes in a 10 gallon tank I have and it worked like a charm.
Next target: overflow and return holes for an old 29 I have.
