Just found out that my fiance is 7weeks pregnant. Were very very excited as this is our first! Were hoping for a boy, but i wouldnt mind having "daddys little girl". lol

Well just courious is you guy's have some baby names to throw at me. it's tough picking the Perfect name for our first baby, what do you guy's have in mind...

For a boy im thinking "Jaden" she likes that too. so were kinda leaning towards that.

For a girl were still undecided... Jocelynn, kaylee, destiny.....

Got any baby name suggestions?

Thanks
Touch.

Congrats on the good news:spin1: But I have a feeling that it's a bit early to be deciding on names. You have seven loonnnggg months for your fiance to change her mind, and trust me, she's gonna. I went into the delivery room with a boy name (Colin) but no girl name. Thank goodness I had a boy!!!;)

One word of advice - have you and your fiance keep a journal. This is your first "first" pregnancy, and everything is new and exciting - even the baby names! All your fears, anxieties, old wives tales, each different stage, the sonograms...when you go back to the journal when your child is older, or when you're pregnant with your second, you're going to love what you wrote, what you though, etc.

I'm saving my journal for my son when he has his first child - he knows I have it and read it on occassion, but he's never wanted to read it...yet.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Congrats again, and keep us posted.

Cheryl

Try this site:

http://www.babynamewizard.com/namevoyager/lnv0105.html

It takes a minute to load. You can start typing a name (for instance, if you like "J" names, type J and you'll see all of them). It will show you the history and popularity of names. Pretty cool site.

Also, a good site that lists names alphabetically is:

http://www.babynames.com/Names/A/

Jaden for a boy is ok, I guess. But I'd give him a more traditional middle name to balance it out. Like Jaden Michael or Jaden William or Jaden Daniel.

I don't like the girl names you listed... especially Destiny. Sounds like a stripper name (sorry to any who have kids with this name but that's how I feel). Imagine if your daughter ends up as a high-level executive or doctor, can you see her name on a prominent office door? "Dr. Destiny" just doesn't work (IMO).

By the way - CONGRATS on being pg!! :)

I love Rachael, its my moms name and also my nieces.
I also like Merinda. Call her Mandy.
And congratulations to you both.
A journal sounds great, wish I had done that, but one thing I did to, way back when is take a pic of my belly each and every month, kept it for my boy and he now has the photo album, along with the xray the day he was born, he was a big baby, 9.7 and they thought I was going to have twins.
As they run in my deceased husbands family.
Its a fun thing to have to look back at and for the baby to have when they are old enought to appreciate it.
Also, get a good video camera, make some fun movies as the time goes by talking about the baby, would be fun to watch when he he/she is old enough to understand it all.

So you have a life outside of RC  .........

Pick out names you like and shut up. Your wife will change preferred baby names more often than you do water changes. Humor her, tell her they sound great, and tell her she's going to make you the happiest man on the face of the earth.

BTW, her butt doesn't look big, she doesn't look fat, and she's never looked more beautiful and radiant..........

After our daughter was born I finally confessed I hated every single name she picked out and told the Mrs my preferred name. That's our daughters name now.

Congradulations. Becoming a parent for the first time is the scariest thing I have ever done.

When Mrs. Man and I began choosing names for Little Boy it was quite a struggle. She liked high toned names and I liked the short guy next door names. I offered up James as a name and she said James sounds fine, but people would call him Jim. I replied right. We finally settled for her oldest brother's first name and my oldest brother's middle name. When Little Girl was on the way I offered up Gudalupe, Lupe for short, and kept my mouth shut from then on.

Oh I'd avoid naming the child Roly Poly. :D

Just don't go giving the kid a weird name or one with an unusual spelling. It has got to be a nuisance for a kid their whole life to be correcting spelling. I have a hard enough time with people spelling "Katherine" with a "C". My daughter's name is Heather. You can't mess that one up.

You are going to be big time busy with the wedding planning AND getting ready for the baby. CONGRATS!

CrystalAZ

True, but Agu is also pretty straightforward and short - so it is easy to figure out. :D

Jaden John is a little choppy. If you are going that way, I'd go with Jaden Jonathan Bolli. (I still like Michael better though :D).

For a girl, you could do a little aliteration -

Belinda Bolli

Or

Bailey Bolli

Or

Brooke Bolli

Or if you want something a little more trendy, Brynn Bolli.

Or Rebecca Bolli would sound really nice. For a middle name.... Jade? Adds that trendy touch you seem to like. Rebecca Jade Bolli.

Some others that sound nice with your last name:

Allison Bolli
Gabriella Bolli
Jillian Bolli
Alexis (Lexi) Bolli
Claire Bolli
Olivia (Livvy) Bolli
Quinn Bolli
Rachel Bolli

Once you find some first names that seem right, we can work on middle names. :D (Yes, I love living vicariously through people who are having babies!!!)

No wittiness here, just my 2 cents.

My boy is Dustin Tyler. Our next one if it's a boy will be William Sean. If it's a girl, Eleanor Paige.

If it's a girl, Anneli Bolli pronounced " Ahhhn' ahh lee" a good Estonian /Finnish name that has great alliteration with Bolli.

Crystal it took us 6 years to get Little Boy. We finally went the invitro donated egg route. Two years latter we were discussing doing it again when "WHAM" Little Girl arrives the old fashioned way. Sometimes you just have to prime the pumps. Good luck it's worth it.
