Up at my parents house this weekend in Toledo and hit some LFS. Went to Garys Tropical Fish in Perrysburg. He had some really nice stuff. Some nice looking favites and some gorgeous looking elegance corals (green and purple) for very good prices. Even items in the $20 frag tank were top notch corals. Went to the Coral Reef also. They had alot of fish at killer prices. Mandarin Dragonets (Adult full of color) for $19. Coral selection was ok. All LPS but nothing I dod not have already. Then we went to Tropicorium... all I have to say is WOW!!! Never seen so many corals in my life! Blastos, tonga mushrooms, leathers, ricordia, out the wazoo. Picked up a nice 9 headed green and purple rimmed ricordia, two blastos, and a dameged trachphylia(sp) for $10! Awesome place to go to if you get the chance. Tons of fish at decent prices. Pretty much LPS prices but all were healthy and they had alot of stuff you don't normaly see in a LFS. I will post pics as soon as I can of the corals I got today. The two blasto frags I got easily have 20 sml. heads on them, that and they are aqua cultured....

just got the corals acclimated and im my tank. In my tank one of the blastos merleti(sp) (25 heads or so) is purple with neon green center and I mean NEON. The other one is a light red outside color with a neon yellow center (20 heads). The ricordia though are by far my favorite pic up. They are a sweet teal colored with a blue/purple outer rim, extremly colorful. All are welcome to stop by and drool.....

Man. That place looks great. I would hate to drive so far though. Maybe we can get a carpool someday before the end of summer.

they had a solid 14" Squamosa that a guy grew in a 75 gallon and brought in for trade last week. They had two Derasas, and some corceas maybe 5 or so, thats about it. That squamosa though WOW!

BTW that place caught of fire a few months ago. We are lucky to still have it. If I remember right they only lost a couple of their big stock tanks.

Yeah I was talking to Nick and he said they only lost one tank. They had it all repaired. Was hoping to get some Bangai Cardinals but they had none for sale. Almost picked up a black and white eel, bout 24" or so for $34.99 but did not want to take the chance with him being in a bag for 24hrs. Just glad all the blastos and everything else I bought made it ok...

Go Blue!!! It is off of I-75 about 5 miles but is worth the short detour! Get off on west rd Exit 32 (right by the Ford Plant) going towrds woodhaven then a right on Inkster and it is a few miles down the road on your left, very easy to pass if not looking good.

they usually have a boat load of clams maximas and derasas from 1" to 5 or bigger. Did you happen to checkl out their sps?

I did not see alot of SPS. Can't really say I was looking for it either but 90% of it was LPS from what I saw. There were just not alot of clams. Bad part about them is all the stuff I really wanted was not for sale which stunk. They had some true red with blue spots target mushrooms, favia maxima (sweet), some nice tonga shrooms, and some lors but none were for sale.

buckeye me hangin in ann arbor. i knew youd come around eventually lol, j/k.
wierd that you mentioned bangaii because for the last week or so ive been debating on what one andd only fish to put in my tank and have been leaning towards a cardinal. btw, i wonder if that was the same giant squamosa that aquatic specalties had several months back. same species and same size.

Sorry for the bad pic, digital camera sucks, but you get the ID. Here is a frag of Blastomussa Merleti(sp), about 20 heads or so. Total frag is a little larger than a quarter and does it glow under actinics and 10K's!

Going to borrow the gf's digital camera and see if I can get some better pics of the other stuff....
