Does anyone know if these guys are still in business? I sent them an email about a week ago and never got a response, so I decided to call them. I ended up getting a message from the phone company that their listed number on the website (http://www.purearagonite.com/) has been disconnected. There was no forwarding number given.

I tried to order over a year ago.They had a recording on the phone that they were waiting for sand.I found a local shop that also ordered from them,and they told me PureArgonite went out of business.

Steve i queried their url, Their domain will expire early next year... think they are out of business. but then I always renew couple months before my url expires =)

They have been out of business for almost a year now unfortunately. They were mining sand from the same area that the Southdown was coming from, only refining it more (more clean).

That's to bad. I had received their special of 3 or 4? bags get one free some time ago. It was very fine clean sand.

Definately too bad. I used a good amount of their sand in my tank along with a bit of southdown (didn't have enough). There is a big difference in the sand. The PureAragonite is much cleaner and actually is more white. The Southdown also does not appear to have as many bubbles or critters in it as the PA sand.

Does anyone know of any other options for bulk aragonite sand?

I checked all over,and ended up buying from Dr Foster and Smith.They had the best price at the time.I truly miss PureArgonite.I used them for several years and several DSB's.
