What is this monster looking thing??

This came with a piece of coral I bought. Can anyone ID this? Not sure if it is even alive but looks like it has mouths and polyps. It's pretty interesting looking but want to make sure it's not harmful to my tank. Thanks in advance!

Very cool...it looks like a cluster of tunicates. They are beneficial to your tank if they can find enough to eat to stay alive in your system. I hope they weren't exposed to air.

I've had them for a few weeks now and they seem to be spreading. Yes they do look very unique. Never had anything that looked like this in my tank. Glad it was a hitchhiker. :D

Yes, tunicate. They tend to be ephemeral in captivity, so enjoy it while it lasts.
