I have two skimmers that Im selling.

The ETS skimmer is a dual tower reef devil (I believe the model is a 750) It was a smaller version of their dual tower commercial skimmers. Definately a decent skimmer for tanks up to 150 gallon. I will include a mated Iwaki pump for this skimmer. It looks as good as it did when I first got it, very clean (im the original owner). It has never leaked!

I also have the appropriate packing cartons for this skimmer.

$265 with the pump plus shipping.

I also have a Euroreef clone skimmer. I puchased this through a seller here in the forums ( I think i paid $435 shipped or probably more) It is a recirculating type skimmer. Can be used internal or external. It is essentially the same as the CS8-3+ ( 8 inch wide contact chamber) which is $800+ and usualy takes 4 to 6 weeks for delivery as they are built on demand.

In anycase I had decided to go with a deltec (finally got permission to begin setting up a larger tank, the euroreef wouldnt cut it on a 500+ gallon tank)

It has two Gen X pumps on it with needle wheels. It really does skim very very well. Just not able to handle the capacity of such a large tank. I would say this one would run comfortable up to 200 gallons. (depending on the load)

I would like to get $350 + shipping.

Both of these skimmers must be insured. As they are fragile.

Would you consider any sps trades for the ETSS? I could pick up at the ORCA seminar.
Thanks

How tall is the ER clone and how much height do you need to get the cup off ? I'm limited to about 29" max under my tank...

scenaria

the skimmer is 24 inches in height...

you dont need to lift the cup off.. it connects with a union so you can basically loosten the union and slide the cup out

edumacate me. where does the recirculating input come from?? an additional pump in the sump??

scenaria
07/15/2005, 12:06 PM
you feed the skimmer from a pump (from your sump more than likely)

the two pumps on the skimmer are the recirc pumps... the water exits the gate valve back into the sump

I see the gate valve sits under water??. Im picturing the euro and comparing it to your picture. dont see that riser pipe gizmo

Did you buy the Euro new?

scenaria

Ok it doesnt get much better than this...

I found the ETS skimmers original carton in my attic..

the skimmer and pump are packed sealed and ready to be shipped.

the skimmer as you can see is packed very well.

I purchased the ETS from champion lighting a number of years ago. It is indeed an ETSS 750 (not to be confused with the smaller reef devils)

no leaks, no cracks, hardly any scratches. the Iwaki is pressure rated and matched to the skimmer. total weight. 20 pounds on the skimmer and 14 pounds on the pump.

Oh and no im not the original owner of the euro.. I think I mentioned this in my original post.

If you still have that 8-3 in a few weeks I'll buy it forsure but that good of a deal won't last.

Same price still stands...on the euroreef

$350 shipped within the U.S.

I have had 2 different buyers back out at the last minute. This has become very frustrating. I will not hold this skimmer anymore... when payment is received the skimmer is sold, until actual payment is received the skimmer will be available for sale. If the buyer pays by check and in the process someone paypals payment I will then return the check. Sorry for sounding like a jerk but ive lost a number of people who wanted to buy the skimmer because I sat on it waiting for payment. (just not cool) if you cannot afford to buy the skimmer then do not offer to buy it.

thanks, steve

What sized gen x pumps are on this skimmer?

One more question..

I see the end of your gate valve has a union attachment. Is this union attachment glued on to the gate valve or threaded on? If it is glued on, then do you have the other half of the union?

I'm looking for a remote installation which would require me to pipe off the discharge side of the skimmer.

Could you post if you worked out a trade on the ETSS (that would be some major SPS corals :P )? as in.. Is it available?
