Foster & Smiths sale... NEVER AGAIN!!!

I was at Foster and Smiths today and they told me that they were doing away with the Labor Day Sale. They said that all merchandise that was sold there is now to be sent back to the distributers. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news guys.

I just called Dr. Fosters and Smith in a panic thinking that it was the red tag sale that they are having on their newly mailed catalog. It's not the same thing. So on a good note, the summer red tag sale is safe, and goes through 9-5-05. I noticed they have great deals on really good stuff like filters and RO units! :)

That's cool, but no more Labor Day Sales. That sucks. I guess I'll just have to buy me a retro-fit kit for my lighting. That's okay though. At least I'll be getting something new. The RO/DI unit is what I need to get. That's my next purchase.

The lady at Dr. Fosters and Smith said they just didn't have enough merchandise this year to make the sale work. Lucky for you who live close enough to take advantage of it, when it does happen. I can see why you are totally bummed out!

She told me that they had to send stuff back to the distrubuters so they couldn't have the sale this year. Then she said that they really don't forsee ever having it again.

I have heard this as well about not having enough merchandise. I would think they enjoy the publicity for the local as many people as the draw in for it. I have been to it three years in a row and there were always a ton of people there. That also means that their retail store saw more sales. I would think they sure will miss the extra sales this labor day weekend.

Dear Reefers ,
The Foster and Smith Labor Day sale was a tool for us to move our damaged , used , returned and excess merchandise . Today with our returns at a record low and most vendors taking back our returned items we no longer have enough inventory to discount . We have sold a few items to liquidators as well . Our excess unused merchandise is currently in our online RED TAG sale . I might also add that the fall sale was a fund drive for Muscular Dystrophy ( which claimed my brother's life ) and that was its real intent . This year we are going to simply donate to the MD foundation without the aid of the sale .
We appreciate all of your support and concern and hope that this Labor Day you remember Jerry's Kids . Thank you , Race Foster D.V.M.
