I have noticed a difference. Most people will say both products are exactly the same, but they are not.
The nori seems to break up very easily and creates a mess in the tank sometimes.
Is there a difference in nutritional value in these two products?
Maybe Im buying the wrong nori? The Nori is shiney where as the LFS stuff is not.
Any opinions?

there are just many different manufacturers of Nori. Some make better than others. But trust me, the stuff you by at the LFS IS Nori. take a close look at it, and you will see the tiny preforations in the sheets of the stuff at the LFS, the same as nori. And the ingredients are the same on both. (dried or roasted seaweed)

i bought nori at the oriental food market and it doesnt break up. i dont know what brand, sorry. i roll it up like a ciggy and use the clip so the fish bites off a little at a time. (doesnt tear off in large chunks that way)

Hope this helps.

thats the stuff! The LFS nori is just overpriced and pretty colors. Dont bother with that junk just by a brick of the sushi nori from an asian market.

There are so many kinds of Nori. Their ingredient can be a little different(different type of seaweed), but almost same.
Usually, nori for sushi has a little stronger texture.
If you have Korean market or Japanses market nearby, go there and ask them nori for sushi. I roll a sheet of nori on a rubble or chapstick. It last for two days without a big mess.
The way you can pick up a nori is that it shouldn't be porous and should be thicker than other noris. It ensures tough texture.
