Attn Tang Police. A dumb question

Which of the commonly kept tangs(yellow, purple, sailfin, kole) grow slowest and to a smallest max size? I know nasos and regal/hippos grow pretty big so I am not going to get one.

Thinking of setting up a new 120 gallon and need to know which one I can get...

Koles are the smallest of the tangs.

Purple tangs grow slowly.. but they get somewhat big.

But like everyone is saying.. Kole's max size is around 4-5 inches.

HOZER- you've made a wise decision not to put a Naso or Hippo in your 120. Is the aquarium a 72 or 48 long?

Why would a hippo not work in a 120? Everything I've read said 70gal or more. I totally agree with the Naso though.

Kole would be a good bet if you want a slow grower and stays somewhat small.

Because they're one of the bigger tangs, being able to top off at 12".
