I am about to setup my tank and am going to order live rock from premium aquatics. I am going to order marshall island nano rock i believe. I have a 28 gallon bowfront which is 24x12x18. Do you think this size live rock is good?? Or should i just order normal sized live rock. They say they are baseball to softball pieces. Thanks IN advance!!

Check your local reefers. You can usually get NICER rock encrusted with corraline for half the price. It might take a month or two sometimes but well worth the wait.

I ordered from http://liverocks.com . They use DHL which has low priced overnight delivery. 120# of rock was $200 for delivery. Rock ended up about $5.00 per pound delivered to my doorstep.

Premium aquatics has beautiful Marshall Island rock, lots of corraline. I bought mine there but I do not pay for shipping, I am 10 minutes from them. If they weren't local ,I probably would have went to the lfs too. Just wanted to let you know you would not be disappointed if you did buy from them

Kim, In my 24g I used big pieces because they looked better to me at the time. Nothing wrong with using smaller rock as long as you secure it. You don't want future landslides. It does have a better price too. Maybe use a combo of 1 big piece and several smaller ones to get the look you want.

And I just remembered, we have a little branch rock left too. That looks great in small tanks.
