micro bubbles from skimmer

We recently noticed a lot of micro bubbles in our tank. It's been running since January. By process of elimination, we've found the culprit is the protein skimmer. What could be causing this? The bubbles have gradually increased over the past week or so until now I can clearly see the returns shooting them into the tank. Bubbles are coating the phs, the rockwork and even the anemone! Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

If your skimmer is in the sump you could add some baffles so that the bubbles have time to reach the water surface before they get to the return pump.

What type of skimmer? Have you added any new additives lately?
