In what world does that pump make sense? It is 5-10 time to expensive for the real world. Just an opinion but does anyone disagree?

It's absolutely silent, supposedly has practically zero heat transfer, is electrically effecient (granted on par with a Dart, but the effeciency is maintained through the entire range of pumps), BUT yes priced out of this world. It's not for everyone. It's for a select crowd that want absolutely no compromise on anything and will pay for it. What's the old adage? You pay twice as much (or more) for the last 10% of performance? This pump epitomizes that.

I do like the cramic shaft and carbide bearing ends but oceanrunner has a ceramic shaft. Maybe it has superconducting magnets and runs on almost no electricity........maybe not

yeah for all it does it's cool, but at that cost thats a new skimmer, Aquacontroller, calcium reactor or something!

Do a search on them for power consumption, however. Unbelievable how little energy they use, and how quiet. I can't, nor will I probably ever be able to afford them, but this is not a 10% upgrade in performance. Comparing them to anything other than Deltec equipment would be like comparing a Yugo to a Ferarri.

yugo to ferarri? wow thanks everyone for the replies i WON'T be getting one of these pumps way too expensive!

I guess I should have said comparing a Ferarri to a Yugo. There is a HUGE % of difference between that pump and almost anything else on the market. Assuming money is no object, this is the best pump you can buy.

Yeah but $ is an object unless you got it like that and are married to Jessica Simpson behind the sences or somthing!

I wish I had a sugar momma. :D Not that I don't love my girlfriend, but we're both poor. This hobby doesn't help.
