Hey just wondering if I could get a few responses regarding the GPH you're running through your system and what type of livestock (fish-only, mixed, SPS, etc.)

THANK YOU !

Had a 55. 400-500 gph return. 3 PH's totaling 1000 gph for a grand total of 1400-1500 gph. Had a sandbed and no problems, after some adjusting of the PH's of sand blowing. Mixed reef (lps/sps)

i have a 55, its got a cap 1200 in it, which is about 600 gph, but i think some of the fins on the impeller broke, so its probably going at a much lesser rate. I have a sand bed that is fine, (just dont put in a pair of clowns, little ba$tard$) :) its a mixed reef lps/softies

I have a 55 display(AGA) with a 900 gph return split w/ 5 ph(3 rio 800 and 2 maxijet 600 on wavemaker ). with a bit of directing, the SB is only disturbed slightly at the surface and generally moves, but settles back with the random cross currents. MY system is dominantly sps with clams some leathers, lps, shrooms/rics, and a variety of zoas.

I am running a dolphin rated @900 GPH after the plumbing and head pressure I am probably pushing 600-650 GPH. I also have four maxi-jet 400's on a wavemaster. It's a mixed reef with a sand bed and over 100 LBS of rock. I am thinking of removing the sand bed and about half the rock now that my corals are bigger and I am getting tired of siphoning crap out of the sand.Softies,LPS,SPS,purple tang, clown, mandarin,Dotti back, fairy wrasse.

anyone else running a 55g ?

i have just about 500 gph flow in there now from my return, i have a maxijet 1200 in there, turned off now., but even that seems like overkill, guessing not tho, my fish really battle the current. going back on then.

I have a 55gal with 400gph return(Quiet one 3000) from 15gal sump, 3 MJ1200's and a MJ900. Tek T5 4x54w. Using CC bed about 2in deep and 70lb LR. 1 acro, 1 BTA, some GSP's, clowns and 6 chromis. Scraping the sides of algae is my biggest problem as alot of LR touches sides.

I have a 55 with approximately 1300 gph running through it: 600 gph from the return pump, 300 gph coming from the fuge return, and 2 powerheads at 200 gph each. I keep a mixed reef with primarily softies and a few LPS. I have a cc/sand substrate, with no problems with the flow disrupting it.
