You might try posting in the Tunze sponsor forum for help.

I would say the probe is bad. I just got a pinpoint monitor, calibrated it and put it in my tank. measured 7.92, came back an hour later and it was reading 6.69. Got new calibration fluids and could not calibrate it to the 7.0 fluid, it would not got past 6.80. I called the company got a new one and seems to be working fine now.

Did you post in the Tunze forum? They might be able to help.

I'm not sure what the Tunze meter is like but do you store the probe wet? On mine you are supposed to put a few drops of a storage solution in the cap in order to always keep the probe moist. It says in the manual that if it gets dry to soak it overnight in tap water.

I had a similar problem getting my Hanna pH meter to calibrate at first. It was not exactly the same problem. I could set mine to the first solution, then set it to the second one and then put it back in the first one and it would be off again.

Hanna's tech support told me to clean the probe by putting it in isopropyl alcohol for 20 minutes and then soaking it in the 7.01 calibration fluid overnight. It seemed to help mine. It is more consistent now.
