Those bulbs are decent, but I have a 42W General Electric (?) compact fluorescent from HomeDefecit in a shop light reflector that works really well. It's a nice warm color and puts out 150 comparable watts to an incandescent, whereas the melev bulb is only 75W. My chaeto has quadrupled in size the past month. Or, if you really wanted to go bananas, there is a compact fluorescent flood light at HD that puts out like 500W. There's a guy on RC that did it, and it is really bright.
