tempered glass on aga megaflow 75

Just picked up a aga 75gal megaflow tank to begin my reef and I noticed that there was a sticker on the tank that said the bottom glass was tempered glass.

I thought tempered glass was undrillable?
How can aga drill 2 holes for the megaflow in tempered glass?

The holes were drilled for the megeflow before the glass was tempered.
