ASM G1 question

Skimmer just arrived but when I opened the box there is elbow to hook the pump up to the skimmer. Do i just connect the outlet from the pump directly to the skimmer?? Seems like it may not fit right but I didn't apply much force at all.

The pump is a sedra model 2500 and looks different form most I have seen. It is a long narrow kind of pump and I guess the needle wheel assembly must be inside the plastic housing for the pump.

The needlewheel is already installed in the pump. The G1 is the only model that they make where the pump actually hangs on the side of the skimmer. There should be a uniseal on the side that you simply slide the pump onto. Happy skimming.

Do you happen to know if the G1X has a pump that hangs on the side?

On the G1x, the pump does not hang on the side of the skimmer like the G1. The pump sits on the floor, the same as the skimmer and there is an elbow that connects the pump to the skimmer.
