My first MH bulb last 9 weeks and the bulb shorted out. Turns out it was a bad socket in a new PFO pendant. I contacted PFO and was not able to get any satisfaction just a lot of lip service. OK not the bulbs fault but it set the stage. I'm running two Icecap 250 HQI ballasts on two PFO DE pendants eight hours per day.
The second bulb was an Aqualine Buschke 10K. After four months my SPS started to brown out on one side. Between four months and six months you could see the bulbs were not equal in light intensity. At the six month point I replaced the bulb with a Hamilton 14K.
Bulb number three Hamilton 14K Started May 4th. Today after six weeks of service it blew the little metal tab off the inside of the bulb.
Is it just me or is anyone else having the same problems with MH bulbs?? I want to hear from you if your having the same problems with bulbs.
Oh I might add I have a friend who just had the same trouble with a Hamilton 14K in the same time frame.
