mogul heat vs. dual end mh

I have been told the the new dual end hqi mh bulbs run considerably cooler than single end mogul. Does anybody have solid info on this subject?

I am very interested in this subject as well. I know that the ballast for the DE tend to run cooler if you use the electronic ones but what about the bulbs. I read an article on Advanced Aquarist that compared SE DE and the author stated that the DE bulb ran hotter. Is this true for all DE in general. I ask because I am looking to reduce the heat introduced into my living room in general by the tank equipment in general.

The only reason DEs might have less heat input than SE is that DEs are by and large mounted in pendants or hoods, so there is better air flow around them whereas SEs are by and large in canopies which trap the heat. There are a myriad of ways to get around this with both SE and DE.
