Don't know if any of you guys have tried this mod on the Deltec MCE600 outlet, but have just carried it out on a brand new one and absolutely no micro bubbles at all.
Plus IMO looks a lot better than that stupid bit of plastic that is supposed to be the degassing plate. If you leave the slip joints loose you can rotate the outlet to point anywhere in the tank.
