Guy s, I was just "finishing up" my new tank when yet another delema arose. What's new right. I think I drilles the Bulkhead too high toward the top.
It's 1" down from the top of the tank

Here is what happens. As the water fills past it it slowly poors down to the sump. At first I thought that there was something maybe blocking the water flow but nope. Then I figured it out, the air in the overflow bulkhead was hindering full flow. When I plug the bottom of the return and let the air bubble out then let go. Woooooosh non stop which would be great except for the fact that now that it is too full it returns more than the pump can handle, sucks in air, and were back to the same problem.

The bulkhead intake holds a 1" schedule 40 PVC, so it's about 1.25 across. then that go's in to a 1" hose down.

With the gaurd on or off it's the same thing. What do I need to do. Should I remove the elbow in the back and run a big flex tube down?

Any help will be great.
