RO Questions

Hi there!!

Just got a steal of a deal (twenty bucks) on an older model Kent RO unit. It has two units to it, and the white cylinder on the top, and that's about it.

Now, I know nothing about RO besides it's heavy to lug up 20 gallons of it up four flights every week. I want to replaces all of the filters and membranes and whatnot, But I have no idea what to get?

Anyone have any ideas of where to start? Thanks!!

What you probably have is a sediment prefilter, a carbon block filter and the RO membrane. All should be standard size and are available anywhere.
I would try www.airwaterice.com or www.buckeyefieldsupply.com for replacements, they seem to be competitive pricewise and also carry nothing but the best filters.

That sounds pretty good to me.. But, Am I correct in assuming that my GPD is restricted by only how much I want to spend on a membrane?

Like, I could stick a 100gpd membrane in there, and it's alright?
