Fla Ric Question

I have 2 Ric's that share the same small rock. They are both growing pretty fast. 1 is the size of a silver dollar and the 2nd one which looks like a clone of the 1st is the size of a quarter. The larger 1 overlaps and covers part of the smaller 1. Do Rics have the ability to "move over" if they want or need to? I put a small piece of rubble right beside the smaller 1 in hopes that it would attach to that.

I have the same problem with some of my Florida Ricordea. If the rock is crowded they can't move & sometimes bleach as i have observed with some of my colonies. If there are only two on the rock the smaller one should stretch out or up & with enough room will move.
