I just set up a 65 and am having all kinds of micro bubble issues.

Here is the set up:

65 gallon All Glass pre drilled reef ready tank
Mag 5 return
20 long with 6 baffels installed

The water from the tank goes over the overflow, down to the sump via the 2" hose that came with the overflow kit. When it gets to the sump there are tons of micro bubbles in the water!

The water flows over the baffels in the following order

Over - Under - Over
then water travels threw 12"x12" fuge then
Over - Under - Over
then to the Mag 5 return....

What am I doing wrong???

Are you using a sock?

Here is a filter sock. http://www.marinedepot.com/aquarium_filter_media_sock.asp?CartId= One of these will help with micro bubbles coming from your overflow. However I would also double check your plumbing going back to the tank. Are you using vinal tubing or PVC?

Thats way to expensive for one , www.filterbag.com has the best deals.

I have used both. Right now I am using a 2" hose made for overflows... works better than the pvc but still a ton of micro bubbles!

I am using panty house as a temp fix untill I get the filter bags.... Seems to be working....
